What to see
Rock of Time: A real ornament for Arachova is the steep cliff with the tower and the clock wrapped in ivy.
Agios Ioannis chapel: In the southern part, under the rock with the clock, is the historic church of Agios Ioannis with the wonderful Byzantine frescoes.
Agios Georgios: The historic church and location at the top of the town, where in 1826 the locals, led by Georgios Karaiskakis, won in battle with Mustampe’s troops. The church dates back to 1676 and from its courtyard (where there is the Karaiskakis monument with the cannon) you will admire the magnificent view of the slopes of Parnassus and the delphic landscape.
